After over a year of work, the last rafter was installed at Patriot Forge in Brantford, ON. January 2015 to May 2016, 180,000 sf. Good job men, and special recognition to Geoff Chant for successfully managing such a large job so well.

Who We Are
Mike Booth and Terry Zehr co-founded KDM Erectors back in 1997 with 5 employees who erected pre-eng buildings throughout southwestern Ontario. As the economy grew, so did KDM! We are now a non-union shop with 50 employees, handling projects from coast to coast in Canada as well as the Caribbean.KDM's tradesmen will erect any type of pre-eng building including, but not limited to, Steelway, Butler, Robertson, VP, Nucor, Braemar, Behlen and American. KDM handles all the iron, cladding and trimming making them a great "one stop shopping" choice when picking your trades. Canam's building called Murox is another one of KDM buildings of choice as they have erected Canadian Tires in every Province in Canada.
After graduating from the Architectural Technology program at Fanshawe Collage in London, Mike worked in General contracting gaining a wealth of experience as a pre-eng builder. Mike is KDM's chief estimator and office manager, handling all quoting, purchase orders and invoicing.
Once an estimate becomes a KDM project, Mike hands it over to Terry, who co-ordinates the men, equipment and deliveries from the first truck load of iron, until the last piece of trim is on. Terry has national and international erecting experience. His projects have taken him to Nepal, Russia, Mexico, the Caribbean Islands and the U.S.
Mike and Terry have proven to be the perfect fit as partners as both bring different talents to the table. They both agree on one thing, that KDM would be nothing if it wasn't for their employees. KDM has been very fortunate to have found and kept good tradesmen who care about workmanship, and safety. Having 10 foreman and another 15 men, each having more than 10 years of experience, allows us to be on many jobs at the same time without letting the quality of work or the schedule suffer. Never holding up another trade is a goal at KDM that all the men take seriously whether it means working longer hours or on the weekend to keep the project on schedule.
In an industry where finding the right people to do the job seems to be KDM's and their competition's biggest challenge, KDM feels its near 1% of turnover of men is a clear indication why they are leaders in the industry. Being the biggest is not important but being the best is to Mike and Terry.
