Bay lifts are used for erecting buildings for various reasons, doing as much work on the ground is for one much safer, and on big clear spans such as airplane hangars and sporting venues, getting the brace bay up all tied in all at once is a key item on these large structures. Site conditions have to be superb for the preparation that needs to happen on the ground.
Foam Panels for roof and walls are becoming more popular as owners become more energy conscious. Foam panels can achieve almost any R-rating requested and are often used in cooler building applications. The panel also provides a architectural pleasing looking from inside and out. The roof panels are a standing seam system which clip together and then are mechanically seamed for water tightness.
This buildings is being insulated using the Simple Saver system in the roof and walls. Banding holds up the vapor barrier under the purlins which allows the full cavity of the purlin to be filled with insulation. This project has 3 tear siding to the entire 66,000 sq ft in Cambridge Ontario.
KDM also erects Corespan buildings which are corrugated panels on the roof and walls all tied together with a corrugated ceiling liner panel and structural steel studs framing the trusts.
